The ULEZ boundary is a bout to expand from October 2021 and we have a great selection of Euro6 and Ulez compliant cars for sale
Cars, motorcycles, vans and other specialist vehicles (up to and including 3.5 tonnes), and minibuses (up to and including 5 tonnes) will either need to meet the ULEZ emissions standards, or pay a £12.50 daily charge when driving within the expanded ULEZ zone. ULEZ (ultra low emission zone) was launched in central London, in the same eight square mile area as the congestion charge, in April 2019. It is due to be extended to the inner boundaries of the North and South Circular roads on October 25 2021. Anybody driving a vehicle either within the zone or across the zone’s boundary has to pay if not driving a compliant vehicle.
The Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, every day of the year (except Christmas Day). It covers the same area as the Congestion Charge zone until 25 October 2021 when it expands.
Is it worth buying a Euro 6 diesel?
Diesel pulling power is also ideal for large vehicles and towing and they are also so much more economical to run and own. Modern diesels meeting Euro 6 emission limits are exempt from ULEZ or CAZ charges, so if you are in the market for a larger vehicle like an SUV its the best way to go.
As a general rule, petrol cars built from September 2009 will have had to comply with Euro 5 standards and should be exempt, while diesel cars from September 2015 needed to have met Euro 6.
